Corinthians 3:12-17
Character of the New Man
12 Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering; 13 bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do. 14 But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection.
15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful. 16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. 17 And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.

We are told by Paul that we must let the Word of Christ dwell in you, but how do we do this?
Through our worship
Through our relationships.
We need to show good worship and develop good relationships.
1. Our worship; Years ago people used to come to church to be seen. It was beneficial to them to be seen at church. They would wear hats and the right cloths. Still today people come to church for their own reasons, or for access to church schools only when they have their children in the schools we never see them again, or for their social need.
At Christ church we don’t mind why people come to church, but when we do come how do we worship?
We are told to worship with “Grace in your hearts to the Lord”.
We have an order of service, where did this come from? It takes us through the ways to worship. We are all here to sing songs to develop our Christian characters.
2. Our Relationships; Paul tells us how our relationships should be. “ 13 bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, …and love one another”, we are also told to cloth ourselves with patience and love.
There are many session ran by churches and they always deal with questions the seeker has. The first question is always who is God, or who is Jesus, when the first question should be who are I?
The Diocese is raising questions about where does the Gospel begin? The Gospel for me has to begin by being chosen by God
Let me tell you;
You are loved by God, and you have been chosen by God from before the very creation of the earth. We are the elect of God, holy and beloved, and I believe Jesus can forgive our sin.
